We all like hearing that don't we? But this P.S. I love you has a different meaning than you think....

I enjoy introducing different varietals to you, hoping that you will have fun trying something new-- broadening your wine "horizons". This month's wine actually has its own special "society  called "P.S. I LOVE YOU".  Specifically dedicated to the promotion of a particular wine named the Petite Sirah. ("Petite Sirah I love you"

These special society members are made up of famous wine makers from California. These wine guru's so love Petie Sirah they want you to know about it. And try it! A Petite Sirah is not related to a Shiraz or Syrah that you may already know. It is an all together different grape. But what a wild and intense wine it makes! Rich and inky in color, voluptuous in flavor. With hints of expresso, earthy cedar, plum and vanilla. It pairs well with roast beef or lamb, grilled portabella mushrooms. Even chocolate! You got to love that! It is believed to have been brought over to America from France in the 1800's.  Was once a very popular grape grown in America and is now making a come back. So be a leader in the wine tasting world with your friends and serve a wonderful Petite Sirah with some great steaks for dinner. Enjoy this wine, and a new meaning to a lovely phrase.
