What words of wisdom do you want other women to hear?
Stay out of the sun!  Protect your skin- it’s the only one you got, and you have to make it last. Always go to bed with a clean face.  Have a lovely hot drink before going to bed, then curl up and get your rest. Sleep is very therapeutic and sleep repairs the body. Sleep deprived people age quicker. Get your sleep and use a good night cream as it renews the skin.

Did you always have flawless skin?
Not at all.  My skin was damaged during the Second World War. That was a difficult time for me as I was so conscious of how I looked. I used to walk around with dark glasses and tried to avoid people. All that changed in 1948 when I read about a substance that was being used to treat war wounds. I had a chemist mix the ingredients for me and within 8 months my skin started to show signs of a remarkable improvement. The glasses came off and I started living again!
