Looking and feeling young are some of the motivating factors to living a healthy lifestyle. Drinking enough water is a great way to keep the skin and body looking and feeling healthy and fresh. But with all the choices on the market, how do you decide which to sip on? Optimal health and beauty benefits should be a deciding factor when making the choice. Evian Natural Spring Water has been considered a "spa in a bottle  for centuries. It's rich history and unique origins not only differentiate it from any other bottled water on the market, but make Evian the "chic" water of choice.

In 1789, during the French Revolution, the Marquis de Lessert discovered the Cachet
Spring in the small town of Evian-les-Bains. This French nobleman believed that the
spring's pure refreshing water cured his ailments. Word spread and people from all
over started to visit the town in search of this "healing  water. In 1824, the first spas
opened in Evian-les-Bains to accommodate those seeking to benefit from the spring
Two years later, the Dukes of Savoie granted the first official authorization to bottle
Evian for the masses.

When the Evian Thermal Spa opened in 1824, the practice spread throughout
the town, and by 1912, the healthful reputation of the waters and the
charm of the locale attracted the cream of international society
Today, The Evian Thermal Spa still proves as a popular and
preferred luxury travel destination; it remains the perfect place to
restore the balance between mind and body. Besides pampering
and relaxation, many visitors go in search of therapy further
proving that the healing benefits from the water are still
considered real after all of these years.

The process of Evian’s source is as intriguing as its history.
Every drop of Evian takes 15 years to filter down from the Alps
(at the rate of 330-985 feet per year), through glacial formations,
and emerges at the Cachat Spring located on the Southern
shore of Lake Geneva, in the town of Evian-les-Bains. The
water is purified as it is filtered through mineral-enriched rocks
and Ice Age sands, making it truly "untouched  by man. This
extremely slow process is what crafts a perfectly balanced
mineral composition rich with calcium, magnesium and
bicarbonates and
provides Evian with a neutral pH of 7.2.

Evian water has not changed its procedure since it was discovered; it is and will remain 100% natural. Due to the unaltered process, its rich history and amazingly pure content, Evian truly can be considered a spa in a bottle.
