What do Chubby Checker, Jerry Springer, and Joe Piscopo all have in common? Well, they're not just famous faces; they're fathers.
Manny Perez: Television star of Rescue Me.
"Coming from a family of 11 siblings, the best memories I have of my dad on father's day, was teaching my dad how to ride a bike after he retired from his job at the age of 65. It's as if he wanted to go back to his childhood years by learning how to ride the bike."
(Manny is filming with Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony in the movie El Cantante.
PS: He never had a bike when he was a child.)
Joe Piscopo: Comedienne, TV Star
"My most memorable Father's Day was Father's Day of 2006. I just stayed home and my big 28 year old son, Joey got together with his littler brother, Michael four years old, and sisters Alexandra 8 years of age and Olivia Assunta who is two to bake me a cake. They sang Happy Father's Day to me. Experiencing the interaction of my big boy with the little ones epitomizes "La Famiglia." The instinctive love of a father to his children is the greatest human condition, and to see the love from brothers and sisters to each other is pure, raw and straight from the heart. Life doesn't get better than that!"
Jerry Springer: TV Host
"The most important job I ever had was being a Dad - though my daughter, Katie made it the only job I'd ever want. The toughest moment was giving her hand away in marriage. When I walked her down the aisle - and the moment came - I really lied. You see, in my heart, my fingers were crossed. A Dad can never truly give his daughter away - and of course in my heart - I didn't - and never will."
John Lloyd Young: Plays Frankie Valli in the hit Broadway musical of the "Jersey Boys".
"My most memorable Father's Day was this past year, in 2006, a week after I dedicated my Tony Award to my dad. I was working for weeks on a Tony speech, and since Father's Day was the week after the Tonys I decided to dedicate it to my father. I won, and gave the speech: it was a great early Father's Day for both of us. If I hadn't won, I would have delivered the written speech to him the next week, on Father's Day."
Brooks Bollinger: Quarterback for the Minneapolis Vikings
"If there is one word to describe my dad it would be selfless. Even though my dad worked a lot as a football coach he would always be home for dinner and then make the time to play catch or hit me grounders before he had to go back to work. I just thought that's what dad's did, but I realize now as a father that that's not always the case. Sometimes I'm tired when I come home from work and my son wants to play and it makes me realize how much my dad did for me and how selfless he was. I hope I'll be the same kind of dad."
Edwin Mulitalo: Offensive Guard for the Detroit Lions
"To me Father's Day is always that day we can pull our Father's Day card out to get whatever it is we need. That is our free day because Christmas is all about the kids and anniversaries are for the wives. But when it is Fathers Day you get the one freebie card that lets us fathers finagle a new car, a guy's trip, or even a new suit. And… I already know what I'm getting this year."

Chubby Checker: Legendary Rock and Roll Star
"There isn't one memorable father's day that stands out. However my most memorable time was
growing up on my dad's farm in South Carolina. We lived for the land, there was no electricity and we
dug our own wells. We worked the fields with animals since there was no machinery at that time. My dad gave great advice and he answered every single one of my "why" questions. When I ask my dad, "Why is this?" he answered, "Just live! And be careful what you throw out to others, because it will be thrown back at you." He didn't say much, but what he said was very profound and it had a lasting effect on me. He made a man out of me. I'm very grateful to my dad for the things he taught me and I miss him terribly."
