Tori Spelling once proudly divulged that she "never" shops on sale, inferring that getting a "discount" on clothing was somehow undignified.   Truth be told, no matter how rich you are it is always in vogue to get a shopping deal.  Stylish Ladies understand that shopping on sale just makes "cents."   However, a deal is not without its limits.  Stylish Ladies do not to enjoy a deal for a deal's sake or get in cue, at 5 am, to receive a free department store door buster.
With that said, there is an art to getting a deal.   So what are the best ways to get a shopping deal?

·        Know when your favorite stores have their weekly markdown day

·        Check newspapers and websites for department store sales

·        Shop at stores that offer shopping award points [such as Neiman Marcus]

·        Make "nice-nice" with sales people [they may put great deals aside for you]

·        Shop end-of-season

·        Use the internet to compare prices and get on-line discounts

·        Sign-up for your favorite boutiques newsletters as discounts are awarded to loyal customers

·        Check the clearance racks and bins before you shop the rest of the store
